Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.

Description
Interleukin-2 drives T-cell proliferation and immune activation through high-affinity receptor engagement, making quantitative binding data essential for interpreting dose-response experiments in primate immunology models. This recombinant cynomolgus IL-2, spanning the full mature sequence (aa 21–154), demonstrates receptor binding with an EC50 of 88.60–116.8 ng/mL in functional ELISA and a measured affinity constant of 31.3 nM by surface plasmon resonance against IL-2Rα, providing a validated basis for cell-based proliferation assays with primary cynomolgus PBMCs or T-cell lines and for JAK/STAT signaling pathway studies where precise cytokine potency is required. The protein meets the purity and endotoxin criteria typical for immune cell functional assays (>90% pure, <1.0 EU/μg), minimizing LPS-driven artifacts that can confound cytokine-specific responses in activation and differentiation experiments.
