Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-81°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Description
Interleukin-13 plays a central role in type 2 immune responses and allergic inflammation, making canine IL-13 essential for translational immunology studies in veterinary and comparative models. This recombinant protein demonstrates dose-dependent proliferative activity on TF-1 cells with an ED50 of 3.93–20.07 ng/mL, providing quantitative evidence that it supports cell-based functional assays including proliferation studies with primary canine PBMCs, T and B cell activation experiments, and JAK/STAT signaling pathway investigations. Expressed as the full-length mature protein spanning residues 19–131 in mammalian cells, it preserves native post-translational modifications critical for receptor engagement and downstream signaling fidelity. The combination of >95% purity and endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg meets the quality thresholds commonly required for immune cell assays where LPS contamination would confound cytokine-specific responses, and supports use as a positive control in canine cytokine detection platforms or as an immunogen for antibody development targeting this Th2-associated mediator.
