Tag Info
N-terminal His-tagged/Tag-Free
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C, for extended storage, conserve at -20°C or -80°C.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function(From Uniprot)
Promotes the disassembly of phosphorylated vimentin intermediate filaments (IF) during mitosis and may play a role in the trafficking and distribution of IF proteins and other cellular factors to daughter cells during progenitor cell division. Required for survival, renewal and mitogen-stimulated proliferation of neural progenitor cells. Required for brain and eye development.
Gene References into Functions
  1. Morphine increases GFP in nestin:GFP embryos and overexpresses the NSC marker Nestin. Morphine also exerts a hyperacetylation effect on H3K27 and decreases DNA methylation in a region 18 Kb upstream of the nestin transcription starting site. A binding site for the transcription factor complex Sox2/Oct4/Nanog was predicted. PMID:29111275
  2. Nestin gene may serve as a marker for stem cells and proliferating precursors in the developing embryonic nervous system as well as in the postembryonic brain[Nestin] PMID:17651502
  3. Results suggest that nestin is essential for brain and eye development probably through control of progenitor cell apoptosis. PMID:20174467
