Target Background

Function(From Uniprot)
This PTPase activity may directly link growth factor receptors and other signaling proteins through protein-tyrosine phosphorylation. The SH2 regions may interact with other cellular components to modulate its own phosphatase activity against interacting substrates. May play a positive role during the stages of erythroid cell proliferation.
Gene References into Functions
  1. These results suggest that SHP2-mediated tyrosine dephosphorylation is an important step in Sema4D-induced axon repulsion. PMID:19433062
