Target Background

Function(From Uniprot)
LIF has the capacity to induce terminal differentiation in leukemic cells. Its activities include the induction of hematopoietic differentiation in normal and myeloid leukemia cells, the induction of neuronal cell differentiation, and the stimulation of acute-phase protein synthesis in hepatocytes.
Gene References into Functions
  1. Studied the effects of leukemia inhibitory factor (LIF) on bovine oocyte maturation and early embryo development in vitro. PMID:24687528
  2. results suggest that leukemia inhibitory factor and macrophage-colony stimulating factor are produced in the endometrium and may play different roles in early and mid-pregnancy PMID:14511776
