Description

This recombinant Glutamicibacter nicotianae Adenylate cyclase (cya) is a semi-custom product. There are 5 expression system options: Yeast, E. coli, In Vivo Biotinylation in E. coli, Baculovirus, and Mammalian cell. Your requirements will be given top priority in determining the protein tags. For proteins within 800 aa, risk-free custom service is guaranteed. It means you will not be charged if the protein cannot be delivered.

Adenylate cyclase is an enzyme that hydrolyzes the adenosine triphosphate (ATP) into cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP), a crucial secondary messenger in various cellular signaling pathways [1]. It mediates responses to extracellular signals by regulating cAMP levels, which activates downstream effectors such as protein kinase A (PKA) [2]. Opiates have been found to inhibit this enzyme and alter its activity forms [3]. Furthermore, calmodulin regulates adenylate cyclase, activating basal enzyme activity and potentiating activities involving GTP-binding proteins [4].
