The production of the L1CAM antibody is based on the immunization of rabbits with the recombinant human L1CAM protein (995-1119AA) and subsequent protein G-mediated purification from the resulting anti-serum. The L1CAM antibody is a polyclonal antibody and occurs as an unconjugated IgG. Its purity is greater than 95%. It shows cross-reactivity with human and mouse L1CAM protein. This L1CAM antibody is available for use in ELISA, WB, IHC, and IF applications. The target protein L1CAM is a neuronal cell adhesion molecule and is involved in cell migration, adhesion, neurite outgrowth, myelination, and neuronal differentiation. It also participates in cancer development and is related to metastases and poor prognosis.
