Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Description
Desert hedgehog (Dhh) plays a critical role in male gonad differentiation and peripheral nerve sheath development, making it a key target in stem cell and developmental biology research. This tag-free recombinant mouse Dhh, covering residues 24–198 of the mature signaling domain, demonstrates confirmed biological activity with an ED50 of 5–20 μg/ml in inducing alkaline phosphatase production in MC3T3-E1 cells—a functional readout directly relevant to osteogenic differentiation studies and hedgehog pathway activation assays. The E. coli expression system yields a non-glycosylated protein that provides a suitable basis for receptor-ligand binding experiments, including SPR and competition ELISAs, where glycan-independent interactions are being characterized. Purity exceeding 98% by SDS-PAGE combined with endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg satisfies the criteria typical for cell-based proliferation assays, stem cell differentiation protocols, and use as a quantitative ELISA standard.
