Description

MERTK mediates efferocytosis and dampens inflammatory signaling in the nervous system, making it a critical target for understanding microglial function and neuroinflammatory disease mechanisms. This mammalian-expressed extracellular domain (aa 23–507) demonstrates quantified antibody-binding activity with an EC50 of 23.48–26.59 ng/mL in functional ELISA, providing a validated reagent for therapeutic antibody epitope mapping, competitive inhibition screening, and blocking antibody validation studies. The measured binding kinetics support use in surface plasmon resonance and biolayer interferometry experiments designed to characterize antibody-receptor affinity or screen biologic inhibitors targeting the MERTK ectodomain. Purity exceeding 95% by SDS-PAGE and endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg align with standards expected in ligand-receptor interaction assays and antibody development workflows where low contaminant interference is essential.
