Description
ZIP6 (SLC39A6) mediates zinc influx across cellular membranes and has been implicated in tumor progression and metastasis, making it a relevant target for cancer biology investigations. This partial extracellular domain construct (aa 21–309) demonstrates robust antibody-binding activity in functional ELISA, with an EC50 of 0.83–0.99 ng/mL when immobilized at 2 μg/mL and challenged with anti-SLC39A6 recombinant antibody, confirming that the recombinant protein retains native epitope presentation. The quantified binding kinetics support its use in antibody development workflows, including hybridoma screening, epitope mapping, and as a calibration standard in immunoassays targeting ZIP6. Produced in baculovirus-infected insect cells with a C-terminal 6xHis tag, the protein exceeds 95% purity by SDS-PAGE and contains less than 1.0 EU/μg endotoxin, satisfying the quality criteria typical for ligand-binding assays and biophysical characterization studies where low contaminant levels are essential.
