Description
HPV16 E7 oncoprotein drives cervical carcinogenesis through its interaction with tumor suppressors and transcriptional regulators, making validated binding activity essential for mechanistic studies. This full-length recombinant construct (aa 1–98), expressed in *E. coli* with dual N-terminal and C-terminal 6xHis tags, demonstrates confirmed protein–protein interaction capability: immobilized at 10 μg/mL, it binds biotinylated MYC with an EC50 of 268.1–354.3 ng/mL in functional ELISA. This quantitative binding profile supports use in interaction screening assays, competition ELISAs, and as a positive control in antibody development campaigns targeting the E7–host protein interface. The preparation meets greater than 90% purity by SDS-PAGE, providing a suitable basis for binding kinetics studies and pull-down experiments where consistent stoichiometry matters, though researchers planning cell-based assays should note that endotoxin levels have not been tested.
