Description
TFF2 plays a critical role in mucosal protection and epithelial cell migration, making validated biological activity essential for meaningful functional studies. This tag-free recombinant human TFF2, covering residues 24–129 of the mature protein, demonstrates an ED50 of less than 10 ng/ml in a chemotaxis bioassay using MCF-7 cells, corresponding to a specific activity exceeding 1.0 × 10⁵ IU/mg — confirming its suitability for cell migration assays, wound healing scratch assays, and other functional cell-based experiments. Produced in *E. coli* to yield a properly folded trefoil domain without glycosylation interference, this protein provides a suitable basis for receptor-binding studies and mechanistic investigations of mucosal repair pathways. Purity exceeding 97% by SDS-PAGE combined with endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg satisfies the criteria typical for use in sensitive cellular bioassays and *in vivo* mucosal injury models where endotoxin contamination would confound results.
