Description
Mucin-16 (MUC16), the high-molecular-weight glycoprotein widely recognized as the CA-125 antigen, plays a central role in ovarian and other epithelial cancer biology through its interaction with mesothelin (MSLN). This recombinant partial construct, spanning residues 12660–12923 of the human sequence, has been validated in functional ELISA demonstrating direct binding to MSLN with an EC50 of 460.7–662.2 ng/ml, providing a reliable tool for MUC16–MSLN interaction studies, receptor-ligand blocking assays, and antibody screening campaigns targeting this clinically relevant epitope. Produced in mammalian cells with a C-terminal 6×His tag, the protein retains post-translational modifications critical for physiologically meaningful binding data.
