Description
Interleukin-21 plays a central role in regulating NK and T cell effector functions, yet recombinant preparations often suffer from endotoxin contamination that confounds immune cell readouts. This mammalian-expressed protein, spanning the full mature sequence (aa 25–162) with C-terminal hFc1 tag, demonstrates potent bioactivity with an ED50 ≤ 20 ng/mL in stimulating IFN-γ secretion from NK-92 cells, providing a quantitative benchmark for dose-response studies in NK cell activation assays and co-culture experiments examining cytotoxic lymphocyte priming. The endotoxin level of ≤10 EU/mg meets the stringent thresholds required for primary human PBMC proliferation assays, T cell differentiation protocols, and JAK/STAT signaling pathway analyses where LPS-driven artifacts would obscure IL-21–specific responses.
