Description
The alpha subunit of the IL-2 receptor (CD25) mediates high-affinity IL-2 binding when assembled with beta and gamma chains, making it a critical target in T-cell activation studies and cancer immunotherapy research. This mammalian-expressed fragment spanning residues 22–213 captures the extracellular ligand-binding domain and demonstrates quantified binding to recombinant human IL-2 with an EC50 of 1.693–2.039 ng/mL in functional ELISA, confirming native-like conformational integrity suitable for ligand-receptor interaction assays and competitive inhibition screens. The protein also binds an anti-IL2RA antibody with an EC50 of 2.463–3.353 ng/mL, supporting its use in therapeutic antibody epitope mapping, blocking antibody screening, and as a positive control in SPR or BLI affinity characterization experiments.
