Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Description
Interleukin-13 drives Th2-mediated immune responses and plays a central role in allergic inflammation, asthma pathogenesis, and tissue remodeling, making it a critical target for dissecting type 2 immunity. This recombinant protein, spanning the full mature sequence (aa 21–132) and produced in mammalian cells, demonstrates robust signaling potency with an ED50 of 2.045–6.215 ng/mL in TF-1 cell proliferation assays, providing a quantitative benchmark for dose-response studies in JAK/STAT6 pathway activation and primary T-cell differentiation experiments. Endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg eliminate LPS-driven artifacts that confound cytokine-specific readouts in PBMC activation assays, chemotaxis studies, and in vivo models of allergic airway inflammation. Purity exceeding 95% by SDS-PAGE, combined with the validated bioactivity, supports its use as a reference standard in cytokine detection platforms and as a coating antigen for antibody development targeting IL-13–neutralizing therapeutics.
