Description
The αVβ6 integrin heterodimer plays a critical role in TGF-β1 activation and epithelial cell migration, making it a key target in fibrosis and cancer metastasis research. This mammalian-expressed heterodimer spanning residues 31–992 of ITGAV and 22–707 of ITGB6 demonstrates quantified binding to human TGF-β1 with an EC50 of 8.576–10.18 ng/mL and to anti-ITGB6 antibody with an EC50 of 7.021–9.054 ng/mL, confirming proper heterodimer assembly and native epitope presentation. These validated binding kinetics support its use in integrin-ligand binding studies, cell adhesion and spreading assays, and antibody development workflows where authentic conformational epitopes are essential for screening therapeutic candidates. Endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg and purity exceeding 95% align with standards expected in cell-based migration and invasion assays, where low endotoxin is critical to avoid confounding inflammatory responses.
