Description

The extracellular domain of human EGFR (residues 25–645) encompasses all four subdomains critical for ligand engagement and dimerization, making this construct particularly suited for therapeutic antibody epitope mapping and competitive inhibition assays. Functional ELISA confirms robust binding to an anti-EGFR recombinant antibody with an EC50 of 2.867–3.571 ng/ml, providing validated evidence for use as a positive control in receptor-ligand interaction studies, blocking antibody screening, and affinity characterization by SPR or BLI. Mammalian cell expression preserves native glycosylation and disulfide-dependent folding of the EGFR ectodomain, supporting conformational integrity that is essential for small-molecule or biologic inhibitor screening in oncology drug discovery programs. This preparation satisfies the purity and endotoxin criteria typical for cell-based and binding assays, with greater than 90% purity by SDS-PAGE and endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg.

Review: I performed an ELISA experiment using the CSB-MP007479HU product, and the EC50 was measured to be 1.026-1.646 ng/ml. The EGFR protein showed complete biological activity, making it suitable for establishing an ELISA screening system. Additionally, the protein demonstrated good stability throughout the experiment.
