Description
E-cadherin mediates calcium-dependent homophilic cell–cell adhesion and plays a central role in epithelial integrity, making its loss a hallmark of epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition in cancer metastasis. This recombinant fragment spans residues 155–709, encompassing multiple extracellular cadherin repeats critical for adhesive function, and demonstrates specific antibody binding in functional ELISA with an EC50 of 5.151–6.358 ng/mL when immobilized at 2 μg/mL, confirming proper epitope presentation.
