Description
C5AR1 (CD88) is a seven-transmembrane GPCR central to complement-mediated inflammation and increasingly implicated in tumor immune evasion, making conformationally intact protein a critical tool for cancer-focused drug discovery. This recombinant human C5AR1 presents the full-length receptor (aa 1–350) displayed on virus-like particles produced in mammalian cells, preserving the native membrane topology and post-translational modifications that soluble fragments cannot replicate. Functional ELISA confirms binding to an anti-C5AR1 recombinant antibody with an EC50 of 1.239–3.760 ng/mL, providing a validated basis for ligand-receptor interaction assays, competitive blocking antibody screening, therapeutic antibody epitope mapping, and small-molecule inhibitor discovery campaigns. Endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg, determined by LAL, satisfy the criteria typical for cell-based assays and sensitive binding platforms such as SPR and BLI, where the VLP format supports use as a positive control for affinity characterization studies.
