The TP53 monoclonal antibody is a highly specific antibody that reacts with human TP53 protein and can be used for ELISA, WB, and IHC applications to detect TP53 expression in various tissues and cell types. It was synthesized in the mouse, and the immunogen is the recombinant human TP53 protein. Its purity is up to 95% using protein G affinity chromatography.
The TP53 protein, also known as tumor protein 53 or p53, plays a crucial role in regulating cell division and preventing the development of cancerous tumors. TP53 also plays a role in regulating cell cycle checkpoints, preventing cells from dividing before they have completed the necessary steps for accurate DNA replication. It is also involved in other cellular processes such as cellular senescence, DNA recombination and repair, and cellular metabolism.
