The S100A9 monoclonal antibody was generated by immunizing mice with the recombinant human S100A9 protein, followed by the isolation of spleen B cells from the immunized mice. These B cells were then fused with myeloma cells to generate hybridoma cells that produce the S100A9 monoclonal antibody. The S100A9 antibody can specifically detect the human S100A9 protein and can be used in ELISA and IHC applications. It underwent protein G purification and has a purity of over 95%.
The S100A9 protein is involved in inflammation and immune responses, as well as the regulation of intracellular calcium levels. It also has antimicrobial activity.
