The S100A8 monoclonal antibody was synthesized by immunizing mice with purified recombinant human S100A8 protein and then isolating B cells from the mouse spleen. These B cells were then fused with myeloma cells to create hybridomas, which were screened to select those that produced the S100A8 antibody. The selected hybridomas were inoculated into the mouse abdominal cavity. The resulting S100A8 monoclonal antibody was purified from the mouse ascites using protein G affinity chromatography. Its purity is over 95%. It is recommended for the detection of the human S100A8 protein in ELISA and IHC.
S100A8 protein is involved in the modulation of immune responses and inflammation, and wound healing. It also possesses antimicrobial activity.
