Description
Rhesus macaque IL-6 is a critical translational target for nonhuman primate models of inflammation, autoimmunity, and infection, yet reliable reagents demand both high potency and stringent endotoxin control to avoid LPS-driven artifacts in immune cell assays. This tag-free recombinant protein, encompassing the full mature sequence (28–212 aa), demonstrates an ED50 below 0.1 ng/mL in 7TD1 cell proliferation assays—corresponding to a specific activity exceeding 1.0 × 10⁷ IU/mg—which supports use in JAK/STAT signaling pathway dissection, B-cell differentiation studies, and dose–response calibration as a reference standard in cytokine detection platforms. Endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg satisfy the criteria typical for primary immune cell functional assays and in vivo primate models of inflammation or tumor biology. Purity exceeding 97% by SDS-PAGE, combined with this endotoxin profile, also provides a suitable basis for antibody development workflows including immunization, ELISA coating, and positive control applications.
