Description
Interleukin-5 is a key eosinophil-lineage cytokine whose cross-reactive signaling in nonhuman primate models makes this rhesus macaque IL-5 particularly valuable for preclinical studies of allergic inflammation and asthma. This tag-free recombinant protein, spanning residues 20–134 of the mature sequence, demonstrates potent bioactivity with an ED50 below 4 ng/ml in TF-1 cell proliferation assays, corresponding to a specific activity exceeding 2.5 × 10⁵ IU/mg—sufficient to drive robust JAK/STAT signaling pathway studies and eosinophil differentiation experiments. Endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg ensure that downstream immune cell responses in proliferation assays, in vivo primate inflammation models, and antibody development campaigns reflect genuine IL-5 signaling rather than LPS-driven artifacts.
