Description
Interleukin-3 is a pleiotropic cytokine central to hematopoietic progenitor expansion and mast cell development, making a well-characterized rhesus macaque ortholog essential for translational immunology studies in nonhuman primate models. This tag-free recombinant protein, encompassing the full mature sequence (residues 20–143) produced in *E. coli*, demonstrates exceptional signaling potency with an ED50 below 0.05 ng/ml in TF-1 cell proliferation assays (specific activity >2.0 × 10⁷ IU/mg) and below 5.0 ng/ml in NFS-60 proliferation assays, providing a suitable basis for JAK/STAT and MAPK signaling pathway dissection, hematopoietic differentiation studies, and dose–response calibration as a reference standard in cytokine detection assays. Endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg minimize LPS-driven artifacts in sensitive immune cell functional assays, while purity exceeding 98% by SDS-PAGE supports use in antibody development workflows including immunization, ELISA coating, and Western blot positive controls.
