Description
IL-1α is a potent upstream mediator of innate immune signaling in rhesus macaque models, making species-matched reagents essential for translational studies of NF-κB and MAPK pathway activation. This tag-free recombinant protein encompasses the full mature sequence (residues 113–271) and demonstrates exceptional signaling potency, with an ED50 below 10 pg/mL in a murine D10S proliferation assay, corresponding to a specific activity exceeding 1.0 × 10⁸ IU/mg. Endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg minimize LPS-driven artifacts, which supports use in sensitive immune cell functional assays such as T-cell proliferation, macrophage activation, and downstream phospho-signaling studies, as well as in vivo primate inflammation models where confounding endotoxin effects would compromise data interpretation. Purity exceeding 97% by SDS-PAGE further provides a suitable basis for applications including ELISA standard curves, antibody validation, and cytokine reference standardization.
