Description
Interleukin-7 is a critical regulator of T and B lymphocyte development, survival, and homeostatic proliferation, making precise recombinant forms essential for dissecting these pathways in murine models. This mammalian-expressed mouse IL-7 covers the full mature protein sequence (aa 26–154) with a C-terminal 6xHis tag, and demonstrates signaling potency with an ED50 of 60–1000 pg/ml in PHA-activated human peripheral blood lymphocyte proliferation assays. The endotoxin level of less than 1.0 EU/μg eliminates LPS-driven artifacts that confound immune cell readouts, making this protein appropriate for primary T and B cell proliferation assays, JAK/STAT signaling pathway studies, thymocyte differentiation experiments, and in vivo murine models of lymphoid reconstitution or inflammation. Purity exceeding 95% by SDS-PAGE, combined with the low endotoxin burden, also supports use as a reference standard in cytokine detection assays or as a positive control for antibody validation by ELISA.
