Description
Interleukin-10 is a pleiotropic cytokine central to immune suppression and tolerance, making precise control of endotoxin contamination essential to avoid LPS-driven artifacts that confound immunological readouts. This tag-free recombinant mouse IL-10, encompassing the full mature sequence (residues 19–178), demonstrates an ED50 below 1 ng/mL in MC/9-2 cell proliferation assays, corresponding to a specific activity exceeding 1.0 × 10⁶ IU/mg — potency that supports use in JAK/STAT3 signaling studies, T cell differentiation assays, and in vivo murine models of inflammation or tumor immunology. Endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg satisfy the stringent criteria typical for primary immune cell cultures and macrophage polarization experiments where even trace LPS would obscure IL-10-dependent effects. Purity exceeding 97% by SDS-PAGE further provides a suitable basis for deployment as a reference standard in cytokine detection assays or as a positive control in ELISA-based antibody validation workflows.
