Description
Interleukin-1 beta is a master regulator of innate immune signaling, driving NF-κB and MAPK pathway activation with broad relevance to inflammation, fever, and host defense models. This tag-free recombinant mouse IL-1β, encompassing the full mature sequence (residues 118–269), demonstrates exceptional signaling potency with an ED50 below 2 pg/ml in a murine D10S proliferation assay, corresponding to a specific activity exceeding 5.0 × 10⁸ IU/mg — providing a reliable reference standard for cytokine detection assays and a potent stimulus for cell-based functional studies including T-cell activation, macrophage differentiation, and NF-κB signaling experiments. Endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg ensure that downstream immune cell responses reflect genuine IL-1β signaling rather than LPS-driven artifacts, which is critical for in vivo murine inflammation models and for generating validated antibodies where antigenic specificity must be unambiguous. Purity exceeding 96% by SDS-PAGE further supports use as a coating antigen in ELISA development and as a positive control in western blot workflows.
