Description
This engineered IL-2 variant carries five point mutations within the mature protein sequence (aa 21–153) designed to modulate receptor selectivity, making it a valuable tool for dissecting differential IL-2 signaling through the high-affinity versus intermediate-affinity receptor complexes. Functional validation confirms robust signaling potency, with an ED50 of 151.39 pg/ml in a CTLL-2 cytotoxic T cell proliferation assay, supporting use in T cell activation and proliferation studies, JAK/STAT pathway dissection, and as a reference standard in cytokine detection assays. Endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg minimize LPS-driven artifacts, which aligns with standards expected in primary immune cell cultures and in vivo tumor biology models where confounding innate immune activation must be controlled.
