Description

IL-17F plays a central role in mucosal immunity and inflammatory tissue remodeling, making precise functional characterization essential for studies of Th17-driven pathology. This recombinant human IL-17F encompasses the full mature protein (aa 31–163), expressed in mammalian cells with a C-terminal 6xHis tag, and demonstrates confirmed binding to immobilized mouse IL-17RA-Fc with an ED50 of 47.94 ng/ml in functional ELISA—validating its suitability as a coating antigen for antibody screening, a positive control in cytokine detection assays, and a ligand in receptor-binding studies. The endotoxin level below 1.0 EU/μg minimizes LPS-driven artifacts in cell-based assays examining NF-κB or MAPK activation downstream of IL-17RA engagement, and supports use in primary cell stimulation experiments or in vivo inflammation models where innate immune confounders must be excluded.
