Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.

Description
Noggin is a critical BMP antagonist that regulates embryonic patterning, neural induction, and joint formation by directly sequestering BMP ligands away from their receptors. This tag-free recombinant human Noggin, covering the full-length mature sequence (M+28–232aa), demonstrates potent biological activity with an ED50 below 3.0 ng/ml in a BMP-4-induced alkaline phosphatase inhibition assay using ATDC5 cells, corresponding to a specific activity exceeding 3.3 × 10⁵ IU/mg — a level that supports use in stem cell differentiation protocols, including neural and osteogenic lineage commitment studies, as well as BMP receptor-ligand competition assays by ELISA or SPR. The E. coli expression system produces a non-glycosylated form that provides a defined, homogeneous baseline suitable for quantitative binding experiments where glycan heterogeneity could confound results. Purity exceeding 95% by SDS-PAGE combined with endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg satisfies the criteria typical for cell-based proliferation and survival assays as well as in vivo regenerative medicine models.
