Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.

Description
IGFBP-3 is the principal carrier of circulating IGF-I and IGF-II, making its binding activity central to studies of IGF axis regulation in cancer biology. This tag-free recombinant human IGFBP3 (28–291 aa, full-length mature protein) demonstrates confirmed biological function, with an ED50 below 200 ng/mL in inhibiting IGF-II-driven proliferation of serum-free MCF-7 cells, corresponding to a specific activity exceeding 5.0 × 10³ IU/mg — data that supports use in ligand-binding and cargo-release assays, drug-protein interaction studies, and membrane transporter functional experiments. The protein's conformational integrity, validated through this cell-based proliferation assay, also provides a suitable basis for structural and biophysical characterization as well as antibody development and deployment as an ELISA standard. Produced in *E. coli* at greater than 98% purity by SDS-PAGE with endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg, this preparation meets the quality thresholds commonly required for sensitive cell-based and immunoassay workflows.
