Description

FGF2 drives angiogenesis, wound healing, and stem cell self-renewal through potent activation of FGFR1–4, making it indispensable in both basic signaling research and translational models. This tag-free recombinant human FGF2 covers the full mature sequence of isoform 1 (aa 143–288), expressed in *E. coli*—an appropriate system given that native FGF2 is non-glycosylated, ensuring biologically relevant folding without post-translational variability. Validated activity yields an ED50 of 0.3–2.0 ng/mL in BALB/c 3T3 proliferation assays, confirming receptor-binding potency suitable for cell proliferation and survival studies, pluripotent stem cell maintenance, neuronal or osteogenic differentiation protocols, and angiogenesis or wound healing models. Purity exceeding 95% by SDS-PAGE combined with endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg satisfies the criteria typical for receptor-ligand binding assays via SPR or ELISA, as well as sensitive *in vivo* regenerative medicine applications.
