Description

FGF17 plays a critical role in brain development and mitogenic signaling through FGFR activation, making it a key target for neuronal differentiation and proliferation studies. This recombinant human FGF17 covers the full mature protein (aa 23–216) produced in mammalian cells, preserving native glycosylation patterns that support proper receptor engagement in cell-based assays. Validated biological activity yields an ED50 of 2.1 µg/ml in a Balb/3T3 proliferation assay, confirming functional potency appropriate for cell proliferation and survival experiments, stem cell or neuronal differentiation protocols, and receptor-ligand binding studies using SPR or ELISA.
