Can I test this product with the Cerebrospinal fluid sample?

Thanks for your inquiry. CGRP is a neuropeptide consisting of 37 amino acids.It is widespread in the central and peripheral nervous system.
There were reports saying that RIA was used to detect the level of CGRP in Cerebrospinal fluid
Regarding elisa kit, sorry we did not ever validate on Cerebrospinal fluid samples before.
We suggest you do a pre-testing first.

CSB-E08210h detects Beta-type CGRP, refer to https://www.uniprot.org/uniprot/P10092 for full-length design, it cannot detect alpha type CGRP. As for the other CGRP related peptides, in theory it cannot be detected. If you have specific information, please kindly send us for further checking.

CGRP induces vasodilation. It dilates a variety of vessels including the coronary, cerebral and systemic vasculature. Its abundance in the CNS also points toward a neurotransmitter or neuromodulator role.
