Description

To generate the DERP2 antibody, a rabbit is immunized with recombinant Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus DERP2 (18-146aa), stimulating its B lymphocytes to generate specific IgG antibodies. Subsequently, the polyclonal DERP2 antibody is meticulously purified from the rabbit's serum employing protein A/G techniques. This DERP2 antibody can be used for detecting Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus DERP2 protein in ELISA and WB experiments.

Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus DERP2 (Der p 2) protein is an MD-2 mimetic localized in the intestine and feces of mites and it has been shown to promote lipopolysaccharide-driven TLR4 signaling and Th2 polarization. In addition to its role in innate immunity activation, Der p 2 interacts with B-lymphocytes, involving adaptive immunity into the response.
