The DERP1 antibody is produced by inoculation of a rabbit with a recombinant Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus DERP1 (99-320aa). This induces the rabbit's B lymphocytes to produce IgG specific for the immunogen. The polyclonal DERP1 antibody is purified from the rabbit's serum by protein A/G. It is recommended for use in the detection of Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus DERP1 protein in ELISA and WB tests.
DERP1 (Der p 1) is a major allergen produced by the house dust mite Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus. It is a protein that triggers allergic reactions in susceptible individuals, particularly those with dust mite allergies. Der p 1, with its protease activity, is capable of cleaving transmembrane proteins like occludin and claudin, leading to the disruption of the bronchial epithelial barrier.
