Description
CCL11 (eotaxin) is a potent eosinophil-selective chemokine central to allergic inflammation and tissue eosinophilia, making validated recombinant forms essential for mechanistic studies in nonhuman primate models. This tag-free recombinant rhesus macaque CCL11, encompassing the full mature sequence (residues 24–97), drives eosinophil chemotaxis at 0.1–10.0 ng/ml in bioassays using human peripheral blood eosinophils, confirming robust signaling potency suitable for transwell migration assays, CCR3 receptor activation studies, and downstream MAPK or NF-κB pathway analysis. Endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg minimize LPS-driven artifacts in sensitive immune cell assays, supporting use in primary eosinophil functional experiments, in vivo primate inflammation models, and as a reference standard in cytokine detection platforms. Expressed in *E. coli* and purified to greater than 98% by SDS-PAGE, this protein provides a suitable basis for antibody development workflows including immunization, ELISA coating, and positive control applications.
