Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.

Description
Fractalkine (CX3CL1) uniquely functions as both a membrane-anchored adhesion molecule and a soluble chemoattractant, making its chemokine domain critical for studying CX3CR1-dependent leukocyte recruitment. This tag-free recombinant rat CX3CL1 partial protein (25–100 aa) encompasses the mature chemokine domain and drives human monocyte chemotaxis at 5.0–10 ng/mL, confirming potent signaling through CX3CR1 and supporting use in transwell migration assays, monocyte/macrophage activation studies, and downstream MAPK or NF-κB pathway analyses. Endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg minimize LPS-driven artifacts that commonly confound immune cell functional readouts, making this preparation appropriate for in vivo rat inflammation models and primary cell-based assays where cytokine-specific effects must be distinguished from endotoxin contamination. Purity exceeding 95% by SDS-PAGE further supports its use as a reliable reference standard in CX3CL1 detection assays or as a coating antigen for antibody validation by ELISA.
