Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.

Description
CXCL5 (LIX) is a potent ELR+ CXC chemokine that drives neutrophil recruitment during acute inflammatory responses, making it a critical tool for dissecting innate immune signaling in rat disease models. This tag-free recombinant protein encompasses the full mature sequence (residues 38–130) and demonstrates confirmed biological activity in neutrophil chemotaxis bioassays at 10–100 ng/mL, supporting use in migration assays, CXCR2-mediated MAPK and NF-κB signaling studies, and in vivo models of inflammation or infection. Endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg minimize LPS-driven artifacts that can confound neutrophil activation readouts, while purity exceeding 97% by SDS-PAGE provides a suitable basis for use as a reference standard in cytokine detection assays or as a positive control for antibody validation by ELISA and Western blot. The E. coli-derived, untagged format ensures that observed functional responses are attributable to the chemokine itself rather than fusion-tag interference.
