CCL28 is a mucosal-associated chemokine that drives selective migration of IgA-secreting plasma cells and subsets of T lymphocytes, making it a critical tool for studying mucosal immunity and lymphocyte homing. This tag-free recombinant rat CCL28, encompassing the full-length mature protein (residues 20–135), demonstrates robust chemotactic activity on human lymphocytes at 5.0–50 ng/ml, providing a suitable basis for chemotaxis and transwell migration assays, downstream CCR3/CCR10 signaling studies, and in vivo rat models of mucosal inflammation or infection. The protein's endotoxin level of less than 1.0 EU/μg satisfies the stringent criteria needed to prevent LPS-driven artifacts in sensitive immune cell functional assays, including lymphocyte activation, proliferation, and differentiation experiments. Produced in *E. coli* at greater than 96% purity by SDS-PAGE, this preparation also supports use as a reference standard in cytokine detection assays and as a coating antigen for antibody validation by ELISA.
