Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.

Description
CCL7 (MCP-3) is a potent CC chemokine that recruits monocytes, dendritic cells, and lymphocytes through CCR1, CCR2, and CCR3 signaling, making it a critical mediator in inflammatory cell trafficking. This tag-free recombinant rat CCL7 encompasses the full mature sequence (residues 24–97) and demonstrates confirmed biological activity in a human monocyte chemotaxis bioassay at 10–100 ng/mL, providing a reliable basis for Transwell migration assays, CCR2/CCR3 receptor activation studies, and downstream MAPK or NF-κB signaling pathway analysis. Endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg minimize LPS-driven artifacts that can confound monocyte and macrophage functional readouts, which supports use in sensitive cell-based assays and in vivo rat inflammation models. Purity exceeding 95% by SDS-PAGE, combined with this stringent endotoxin control, also makes the protein appropriate for use as a reference standard in cytokine detection assays or as a coating antigen for antibody validation by ELISA.
