Description
CXCL2 (MIP-2) is a key neutrophil chemoattractant in murine inflammation, and this tag-free recombinant form encompasses the full mature sequence (residues 28–100), preserving native receptor-binding fidelity for CXCR2-mediated signaling studies. Validated in a human neutrophil chemotaxis bioassay with activity in the 1.0–10 ng/mL range, this protein provides a suitable basis for transwell migration assays, NF-κB and MAPK pathway activation experiments, and in vivo mouse models of acute inflammation or infection where precise neutrophil recruitment kinetics are under investigation. Endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg minimize LPS-driven artifacts that would otherwise confound cytokine-dependent readouts in primary immune cell assays, while purity exceeding 97% by SDS-PAGE supports use as a reliable reference standard in CXCL2 detection ELISAs or as a coating antigen for antibody development and validation workflows. Produced in *E. coli*, the recombinant CXCL2 protein aligns with standards expected in quantitative functional studies requiring well-characterized, endotoxin-controlled reagents.
