Description
Fractalkine (CX3CL1) uniquely functions as both a chemoattractant and an adhesion molecule through its CX3CR1 interaction, making precise recapitulation of its chemokine domain critical for meaningful functional studies. This tag-free recombinant human CX3CL1 partial protein (residues 25–100) encompasses the mature chemokine domain and drives T-lymphocyte chemotaxis at 5.0–10 ng/mL, providing a suitable basis for migration assays, CX3CR1 signaling pathway analyses involving MAPK and NF-κB activation, and in vivo inflammation models. Endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg minimize LPS-driven artifacts that can confound immune cell readouts, which supports use in sensitive T-cell and PBMC functional assays as well as antibody validation workflows such as ELISA standard curves and Western blot positive controls. Purity exceeding 97% by SDS-PAGE, combined with this stringent endotoxin profile, satisfies the quality criteria typical for reference standards in cytokine detection assays.
