Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.

Description
CCL2 (MCP-1) is a pivotal monocyte chemoattractant that drives innate immune cell recruitment during inflammation, making validated bioactivity essential for meaningful functional studies. This tag-free recombinant human CCL2, encompassing the full-length mature sequence (residues 24–99), induces directed monocyte migration in chemotaxis bioassays at 10–100 ng/ml, confirming signaling potency through CCR2-dependent pathways suitable for Transwell migration assays, NF-κB and MAPK pathway activation studies, and in vivo inflammation or tumor biology models. Endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg minimize LPS-driven artifacts that commonly confound monocyte and macrophage functional readouts, which supports use in sensitive cell-based activation and differentiation experiments as well as serving as a reliable reference standard in cytokine detection ELISAs. Produced in *E. coli* with >96% purity by SDS-PAGE, this protein also provides a suitable basis for antibody development workflows including immunization, coating antigen preparation, and Western blot positive controls.
