RET is a member of the receptor tyrosine kinase family, whose structure comprises an extracellular domain, a transmembrane domain, a tyrosine kinase domain, and a carboxy-terminal end. By binding to specific ligands, RET activates the tyrosine kinase activity of its intracellular region, subsequently initiating downstream signaling pathways that affect biological processes such as cell growth, proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis. RET plays a crucial role in maintaining the normal function of various cell types, including nerve cells, endocrine cells, and kidney cells. However, mutations or abnormal expressions of the RET gene can lead to diseases such as medullary thyroid cancer. Therefore, the study of RET's structure, function, and biological roles not only helps us understand its role in normal physiological processes but also provides new perspectives and strategies for the prevention and treatment of related diseases.
The following RET reagents supplied by CUSABIO are manufactured under a strict quality control system. Multiple applications have been validated and solid technical support is offered.
