MALT1

The gene MALT1 encodes a protein known as mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue translocation protein 1. Commonly referred to as MALT1, this protein is a caspase-like protease that plays a critical role in the BCL10-induced activation of the NF-κB signaling pathway. MALT1 is associated with various diseases, including lymphoma, solid tumors, and autoimmune disorders. In terms of drug development, MALT1 inhibitors are being investigated as potential therapeutic agents, targeting the NF-κB pathway and showing promise in treating B-cell lymphomas and other related conditions.
