FGFR4

FGFR4, or fibroblast growth factor receptor 4, is an important tyrosine kinase receptor encoded by the FGFR4 gene and distributed widely in tissues such as bones, kidneys, and liver. It combines with fibroblast growth factor to activate downstream signaling pathways like RAS/RAF/MEK/ERK and PI3K/AKT, regulating cell proliferation, differentiation, migration, and survival. FGFR4 is crucial for bone development and kidney function maintenance, and its abnormal activity is linked to diseases such as bone malformations, cancer, and kidney diseases.
